AN ADVENTURE THROUGH TIME
Electra's History
Electra was designed in 1930 by naval architect Ted Gear, known for his distinctive “fantail” yacht designs. It was one of four fantails made between 1928 – 1930 as a partnership between Geary and the Lake Union Drydock Company.
Geary designed Electra for the owner and president of Puget Sound Power and Light, A.W. Leonard. Leonard’s intention was for Electra to be designed for his wife, who received the yacht as a gift on Valentine’s Day.
